About the event
Coming this fall, an 18th Century (or earlier) picnic in Brooklyn, at the Old Stone House.
The closest subways are the R at Union, the R/F/G at 4th Ave/9th Street, or any number of lines and the LIRR at Atlantic Terminal/Barclays Center.
I've reserved the 5th Ave Garden for us at 2pm. The space has a picnic table and benches, with wood-chipped ground, so you won't need picnic blankets.

The Old Stone House building is a reconstruction of the 1699 Vechte-Cortelyou House on land taken from the Lenape as early as 1639. Located in Washington Park, on the border of Park Slope and Gowanus in Brooklyn, it marks the place where the original Dutch farmstead stood and the culminating engagement of the 1776 Battle of Brooklyn took place.
